By admin Oct 25, 2024

Sanela Jahić is the guest of the 8th episode of the podcast series I did with artists who 1. are among my absolute cultural heroes and 2. have exhibited at Aksioma Institute for Contemporary Art in Ljubljana.

Sanela Jahić, No to AI, Yes to a Non-fascist Apparatus

Sanela Jahić‘s practice explores questions such as the dehumanisation of workers as a result of robotisation, the possible automation of creativity, the role that AI plays in amplifying social vulnerabilities, and many, many more issues.

In the conversation, Sanela talks about what happened when she delegated the decision-making process of an artwork to a predictive algorithm, whether there is something deeply uncomputable in the artistic mind and how she collaborated with Dan McQuillan to examine and resist the way socially-applied AI enables a transition towards authoritarianism.

I hope you enjoy the episode!
